Jalen Reagor won’t make a huge impact.

For obvious reasons, people are super excited about Jalen Reagor returning to action this weekend. After all, he was the team’s first-round draft pick, a guy who many had hailed as Carson Wentz’ WR1 of the future.

I definitely like Reagor, and have been impressed at his ability to rapidly heal from injuries, but I don’t think he’s going to go off for 10 catches and 150 yards against Dallas. In fact, I’m not sure how much he’ll even factor into the Philadelphia Eagles game-plan.

To no fault of Reagor’s, Wentz has developed a pretty serious rapport with practice squad call-up Travis Fulgham recently. Wentz clearly trusts him, and the two have been clicking on and off the field.

Wentz has always loved throwing to Greg Ward, and a returning Dallas Goedert provides #11 with a proven and reliable red zone target as well.

Even Richard Rodgers has started to emerge as a trustworthy target for Wentz.

Reagor has been out of action for awhile now, and it’s hard to imagine him and Wentz immediately being on the same page again. Building up that trust and chemistry takes time for receivers and quarterbacks, and Reagor just hasn’t been on the field as of late.

It’s possible that Reagor has a solid game (due to Dallas’ abysmal secondary), but I wouldn’t expect anything crazy from the former TCU wideout tonight.
