Andrew McCutchen wants Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates fans alike to get out to vote.

In case you are somehow living under a rock, you probably know that election day is right around the corner.

With more than two million votes already cast in Pennsylvania alone, we’re rapidly approaching record-breaking turnout in what could be the most consequential election in recent memory.  And no one wants you to get out to vote more than Philadelphia Phillies‘ outfielder Andrew McCutchen.

Ingeniously tapped to take part in an official Get Out To Vote campaign sponsored by the Commonwealth alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster, Michael Keaton, the Phanatic, and Rob ‘Ronald McDonald’ McElhenney, McCutchen’s mug has been all over the place informing potential voters on how to make sure their voices are heard on the lead up to November 3rd’s big day.

And of all the people who could have been chosen to represent the campaign, I can’t think of a better person than McCutchen.

His infectious charisma aside, McCutchen has the rare honor of being a fan favorite of both Phillies and Pirates fans. This ‘non-partisanship’ makes him a perfect spokesman to inspire would-be voters democrat, republican, and independent alike to get out to vote in whatever way they feel most comfortable given the current state of our world.

Political opinions aside, isn’t getting more people to participate in the civic process what really matters?

Remember, if you still have an absentee ballot, make sure to hand-deliver it. You’ll probably even get an ‘I voted’ sticker, which gets me 10 percent off at my local record store and coffee shop. With those sorts of perks, why wouldn’t you want to exercise your civic duty alongside McCutch and Mac from ‘It’s Always Sunny’?
