The Philadelphia Eagles could still use a boost at wide receiver.

Even with the unforeseen emergence of one Travis Fulgham, the Philadelphia Eagles could still probably use some help at the wide receiver position. Philly’s passing offense ranks as the ninth worst in the NFL in terms of total yards per game (226.9), and Carson Wentz has already seen 20 of his passes dropped this season (second most in the NFL).

Fulgham has been a diamond in the rough for the Philadelphia Eagles, but he’s far from a finished product. Greg Ward and John Hightower have been serviceable in their roles over the last couple of weeks, but both of their ceilings are only so high.

Guys like Jalen Reagor and Dallas Goedert are set to return soon, but it’s unknown how well they’ll play coming off their respective injuries.

If Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles are genuinely all-in on winning the NFC East this year, adding one final legit pass-catcher to the offense would be a pretty sizable upgrade.

John Ross

Current team: Cincinnati Bengals

Easily the least impactful of the suggested receivers in this article, making a move for John Ross wouldn’t do much in terms of upgrading the Eagles current receiving room. He’s definitely fast, but he’s proven completely unreliable in terms of consistently catching passes.

He plays a fairly similar game to that of John Hightower, and it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to bench a promising rookie for a veteran in the final year of his contract.

Ross could come in and be the team’s primary punt returner, which is a position the team has struggled with as of late, but that’s about the only value I see in this specific trade.
