Trading Jalen Hurts.

We’re six full games into the Jalen Hurts experience, and needless to say, it’s just not working out. The rookie QB has yet to score any points, he’s fumbled two snaps, he was shut down by a below average Giants defense, and he’s caused an endless amount of national controversy in the media.

It would be next to impossible to recoup that second round pick that Roseman spent on Hurts, but trying to regain some level of value on this failed experiment would be in the team’s best interest. It’s possible that a QB-needy team (Jags, Bears, Colts, etc.) around the league sees something they like in Hurts, prompting them to give up a third/fourth round pick for his services.

Not only would this help the Eagles longterm goal of gathering future draft picks, but it would also help them in the short term. Getting Hurts out of the building is the best for both Wentz and Doug Pederson, as it allows them to just focus on winning football games, as opposed to developing some sort of wonky two-QB offense.

There’s a 0.00001% that Roseman would explore this avenue, but that doesn’t negate the fact that it would be in the Philadelphia Eagles best interest.
