Philadelphia Eagles: 10 potential trades to make before the deadline
By David Esser
Adding another wide receiver to the mix.
Even with the addition of Travis Fulgham, the Philadelphia Eagles are still noticeably lacking in the pass-catching department. Their current starters consist of two practice squad call-ups and a fifth round rookie, and their tight end position isn’t looking much better either.
Carson Wentz has developed a noticeable level of rapport with this current group of guys, but good chemistry can only carry an offense so far. The team really struggled to convert in the red zone against New York last week, and that’s not something that can get fixed overnight.
First round pick Jalen Reagor should be returning to the field in the near future, but it’s unknown just how much of an impact he’ll make upon his re-debut. He looked okay during his first two NFL games, but nothing to the level of a CeeDee Lamb or a Justin Jefferson. He’s also coming off two injuries in a row, which could spell trouble for his longterm reliability.
John Ross was floated around as a potential trade candidate earlier this month. Someone like Kenny Stills was rumored to be available earlier in the offseason, and a guy like AJ Green has reportedly been shopped around as of late as well. Any one of these guys could come in and play some sort of role within the Eagles offense.
