Building up the offensive line depth.

Through the first seven weeks of the 2020 season, the Philadelphia Eagles have effectively had the second worst performing offensive line in all of football. They are tied for first in terms of total sacks allowed with 28, and they ranked third in the league in terms of total sack yards lost.

If you’ve watched an Eagles game this year, you’ll know just how often Carson Wentz is getting drilled to the ground these days.

While the Eagles O-Line has been absolutely miserable this season, it’s fair to say that you can genuinely attest that to the amount of injuries that the team has experienced. Both Brandon Brooks and Andre Dillard are done for the year, Isaac Seumalo and Jason Peters went down early, Lane Johnson is battling all sorts of issues, Jack Driscoll is out, and Matt Pryor missed time due to COVID-19 protocols.

While it looks bleak right now, waiting a few more weeks for guys to come back healthy could sure up the pass protection.

However, adding some cheap O-Line depth via the trade market could be something Roseman commits to pouring resources in. The Eagles could use some solid backups at essentially every position on the line, and shooting away some late round picks to land depth would help the team survive until the injured names return.
