Howie Roseman’s EGO

The main reason that the Philadelphia Eagles will be mistakenly aggressive at the trade deadline is simply because of general manager Howie Roseman’s inflated ego. Although the consensus is up in the air as far as who’s to blame for this lackluster start to the season, I blame Howie Roseman and his ego. I have a significant level of respect for Roseman as a financial advisor for the Eagles, but his ego has clearly gotten in the way of talent evaluation and player personnel decision making.

A clearly mismanaged move was that of drafting QB Jalen Hurts in the second-round of the 2020 NFL Draft, despite having several holes at linebacker, wide receiver, backup running back, and offensive line.
