Weak NFC East Division

The obvious reason that the Philadelphia Eagles would be buyers at the deadline is because they play in such a weak division. Even with a terrible start to the season, they still find themselves in first place. The Eagles have a chance to take serious control of their division in their next two outings, they play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 8, have a bye week in Week 9, and then take on the New York Giants again in Week 10.

If they can snatch a 4-4-1 record heading into their Week 11 matchup with the Cleveland Browns, then they will be in relatively good shape heading into the toughest stretch of the season. By no means will this be an easy task for the Eagles as they lost to the Washington Football Team in Week 1, tied with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3, and were only able to beat the New York Giants by one point in a Week 7 comeback despite the Giants missing star RB Saquon Barkley.

While it won’t be an easy task, I’d still put my money on the Eagles winning the division.

So why not go grab a young linebacker with good upside or some offensive line depth to fill some glaring holes this season?
