What’s up with Miles Sanders?

After missing Week 1 due to injury, running back Miles Sanders has seen his carry count steadily decrease week by week. Whether it’s due to injury, fatigue, or even Doug Pederson’s game planning, Sanders lack of involvement in the offense is concerning to say the least.

The former Penn State RB talked quite a bit this past offseason about establishing himself as one of the best backs in all of football, and we’ve yet to really see that from him here in 2020.

Sanders had 131 total yards against the Rams in Week 2, but also fumbled. He racked up 107 total yards against the Bengals the following week, but saw his touches almost completely evaporate in the fourth quarter and overtime. This past weekend he recorded 76 total yards on just 15 touches, his lowest on the season by far.

No offense to Boston Scott or Corey Clement, but the Philadelphia Eagles don’t have the greatest backup running backs in the world, making Sanders’ lack of an impact even that much more painful. Whether he’s injured, tired, or whatever, getting #26 figured out this weekend against the Steelers is right up there on the Eagles priorities list.
