Fletcher Cox, Zach Ertz, Rodney McLeod.

I thought long and hard about including Fletcher Cox over Malik Jackson, but ultimately decided against it. As much as I think there is an avenue for a potential Cox trade down the road, at least for the moment he’ll likely remain an Eagle.

Zach Ertz getting moved in the offseason almost feels inevitable at this point in time, but the recent Dallas Goedert injury likely keeps him safe for the remainder of 2020. The team can’t completely gut their entire offense, and Ertz is the one guy you can count on to make plays for Wentz moving forward, especially with Goedert down.

Rodney McLeod intrigued me, as he is another aging veteran who has likely overstayed his welcome. However, the organization absolutely loves him, and would likely prefer to keep him around to help mentor guys like K’Von Wallace and Grayland Arnold moving forward. His two-year/$8.65 million extension is also one of the more reasonable contracts on the roster.

Next. The Philadelphia Eagles should take a chance on LB Deone Buccannon. dark

That was a ton of players to dump on you all at once, but it’s the brutal truth regarding this football team. They’re 0-2-1, and have one of the highest payrolls in NFL history. Whether it’s at the trade deadline or during the offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles have to start making some seriously tough decisions regarding their current roster.
