See what you can get for DeSean.

This one stings almost as much as the Graham inclusion, but DeSean Jackson is in all honesty not helping this Philadelphia Eagles team at the moment. The front office put way too much stock into his ability to contribute in both 2019 and 2020, and for two seasons in a row the veteran wideout has failed to stay healthy.

Jackson has just 19 catches in 6 games for the Eagles since being reacquired, and his general presence doesn’t seem to be helping the team’s struggling coaching staff. They tried really hard to get him involved against Washington, and the connection simply wasn’t there. At now 34 years of age, it’s not unreasonable to say that he just can’t perform at a high level anymore.

Like Graham, Jackson also carries a fairly large cap number heading into 2021 at $10.9 million, and there’s essentially a zero percent chance the Eagles opt to keep him around on that number considering they have an opt-out clause they could choose to enact.

It sucks that Jackson’s last ride in Philadelphia has gone so sour, but the Philadelphia front office needs to acknowledge a mistake when it’s staring right at them. If you can salvage any sort of value for Jackson at the trade deadline (seventh-round pick maybe?), then you absolutely pull the trigger.
