Carson Wentz thoroughly outplays Jared Goff.

Carson Wentz might have had a rough game to kick off the new season, but he’s still way better than Jared Goff.

The #1 and #2 picks from the 2016 draft class, Wentz’ and Goff’s careers have been heavily linked ever since they debuted. Despite Goff leading his team to the Super Bowl two seasons ago, I think it’s safe to say that the Rams are kicking themselves for having made the wrong decision. On pretty much every metric available, Wentz has been the superior QB through the first four seasons of his and Goff’s careers.

On Sunday, this ideally should not change all that much either. Wentz struggled to settle into a rhythm following his first two TDs last week, but expect to see some serious changes implemented on the offensive side of the ball for the Philadelphia Eagles. More screens, more tight end targets, and quicker routes over the middle.

The returning Miles Sanders should also do wonders for Wentz’ play action game.

Goff has two very talented wide receivers in Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods to throw to (both just got new extensions as well), but the former UC Berkeley QB has struggled under pressure before. With the spotlight of going up against Wentz and the Eagles on, he should fade away while Wentz looks to step up.
