Fletcher Cox dominates.

I think sometimes Philadelphia Eagles fans forget just how good of a player Fletcher Cox truly is. In all honesty, there’s a genuine argument to be had that he is the best overall player on the entire roster.

Cox had a down year last season due to some personal injuries and a constant revolving door at the DT2 spot. Now, heading into 2020 after a full healthy offseason, with a returning Malik Jackson sliding back in alongside him, he should absolutely dominate.

Washington is expected to start Chase Roullier at center and Wes Martin at left guard, and I’ve genuinely never heard of either of these players before. I doubt Cox has heard of them either, and he likely knows that there’s a level of intimidation factor going on here as well.

Washington’s right guard Brandon Scherff is a solid player on the other side of Roullier, but even he shouldn’t be a match for Cox exploding up the middle of the line. It will be tough for Washington to warrant double teaming Cox as well, as Malik Jackson is an elite pass rusher in his own regards.

Like DJax, Cox has had some of his best games against Washington in the past. His 12.5 career sacks against them is by far the most he’s had against any NFL team, and he’ll look to add to that insane total against a weak O-Line this afternoon.
