Miles Sanders, RB

Running back Miles Sanders has not been at practice for the last two weeks, as he’s been nursing a minor hamstring injury. The team has been overly cautious with Sanders during the offseason, as he is currently projected to be the team’s every-down starting RB.

When the 2020 NFL season kicks off however, there is going to be zero time for Sanders to knock off any rust he may have. The second year back is going to need to hit the ground running as soon as Week 1, both figuratively and literally.

When the Eagles WR core got absolutely decimated last year due to injury, Sanders was the man who really stepped up and put the team on his back. Pederson leaned on him in both the rushing and the passing game, and Sanders lived up to the task.

Sanders saw a total of 81 touches through the final four weeks of the season, highlighted by a monstrous 172 yard performance against Washington in Week 15.

With Reagor now out for the forseeable future, and major question marks lingering at some of the other WR positions, the Eagles will likely lean on Sanders’ ability once more. Whether it’s on the ground or in the air, Sanders could see as many as 25 touches per game through the first few weeks of the season.
