The Philadelphia Eagles need to add an offensive lineman.

No matter what they do, the Philadelphia Eagles just can’t seem to keep it together for one fully healthy season. The team struggled mightily with injuries to their cornerback room in 2018, to their wide receiver group last year, and now it’s looking like their offensive line will be taking the beating as we approach the 2020 campaign.

Before the Eagles could even line up for an official snap, they’ve already lost two of their projected starters. Right guard Brandon Brooks went down earlier in the summer due to a ruptured achilles, and second year left tackle Andre Dillard was just ruled out for the season due to a torn biceps.

The Eagles are no stranger when it comes to offensive line injuries, as they’ve seen a handful of their top guys go down over the last three seasons. However, this year’s injuries hit a little bit different. The team has been able to lean heavily on backup lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai the last few seasons, playing him at LT, RT, and even inside at G on occasion.

With Vaitai now up in Detroit thanks to a fat free agency contract worth $45 million, the Eagles are pretty screwed when it comes to their o-line depth.

Despite initially signing up to replace Brooks at guard, Jason Peters will now slide back over to LT as he gears up for yet another year as the Eagles “bodyguard”. Former sixth-round pick Matt Pryor will probably get the nod at RG, but the Eagles still desperately need to add a legit backup lineman to their roster.

Jordan Mailata has not had a good training camp thus far, and rookies Jack Driscoll and Prince Tega Wanogho likely aren’t ready to contribute at an NFL-caliber level. With that in mind, here are some of the best options currently still available on the open market:
