145. player. 2119. . Cornerback. Bulldogs . Amik Robertson

Amik Robertson may be one of the harder players to mock in this entire draft.

While he finished out the 2019 season as one of the best cornerbacks in college football according to Pro Football Focus and has a ton of experience playing press-man coverage, Robertson is one of the shorter players in this year’s class and will certainly fall because he’s an outright misfit in many defensive schemes.

But if Howie Roseman’s recent comments about Avonte Maddox are of any indication, the Eagles are not one of those teams.

Despite measuring in at 5-foot-8, 193 pounds, Robertson competes harder than every other cornerback in this year’s draft and will absolutely destroy an unexpecting wide receiver in space if given a chance. He’s also one of the draft’s better pass defenders, as his 16 passes defensed ranked first overall in all of FBS.

If you can look past his size, or have a cornerback like Darius Slay capable of taking away a team’s biggest receiver, Robertson is an intriguing matchup piece who will compete on every snap and relish every special teams snap he’s given.

And hey, if he really is too small to even man the slot, Robertson could always move to safety where height isn’t as big of an issue.
