While the 2020 NFL Draft is full of top-tier wide receivers, here are three under-the-radar slot options who could intrigue the Philadelphia Eagles on Day 3.

The 2020 NFL Draft is historically deep at wide receiver. So deep, in fact, that some believe a team can find a starting-caliber player as late as the fifth round.

Baltimore Ravens‘ general manager Eric DeCosta is firmly in that camp.

In his Thursday press availability, DeCosta made his intentions known, as per the team’s official writer Ryan Mink.

"“I think it’s just the amount of really good players in the draft at that position. In most years, you probably expect those players to fill up the first three rounds,” DeCosta said. “We think this year that there’s a really good chance to get a guy that can probably be a starter for you in the fifth round of the draft.”"

That quote should be like music to Philadelphia Eagles fans’ ears.

If the 2019 NFL season taught fans in the 215 anything, it’s that you can never, never, ever, ever have enough talent at the wide receiver position. Even if DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery are ready to go on Week 1 fully healthy, they could be a handful of plays away from having to rely on the Deontay Burnett-s of the world for consistent week-in and week-out production.

If that happens again, Carson Wentz may walk out on the team at halftime.

So regardless of how Days 1 and 2 of the NFL Draft shake out, whether the Birds are able to land a bonafide wide receiver one, or select a high-upside option from the second-tier of receiving options, it may be wise to double-down on the position with one of the team’s five Day 3 picks just in case.

But which players should Philadelphia Eagles fans – and Howie Roseman, of course – keep an eye on during Saturday’s all-day, (digital) Draft Day bonanza? Here are three pass catchers with starter upside down the line.
