Philadelphia Sports Teams as Your Favorite Cheesesteak Joints

The Philadelphia Eagles are Jim’s Steaks
Jim’s Steaks and the Philadelphia Eagles; the underdogs. Sure – Jim’s may be mixed in the debate between Pat’s and Geno’s, but more than half the time, it’s counted out of the conversation, much like our endeared Philadelphia Eagles.
After Carson Wentz suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 14 of the 2017-2018 NFL season, a majority of the media counted them out of competing for, as well as winning a Super Bowl title. But after accepting the underdog role, Nick Foles and company beat Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
Yes, go ahead… I’ll give you a minute. Watch Jason Kelce‘s speech for the hundredth time.
… And Jim’s – it’s messy, just like this team (sorry Eagles fans). The bottom of the roll gets soggy, the ingredients start to fall out, but in the end… it holds up.
For the most part, Philadelphians know the situation they’re getting into when either walking into Jim’s or getting ready to watch an Eagle’s game; an upset stomach, a belly-full of pride and joy, or you’re just down-right ready to take a nap.
But we love them both. They’re underdogs in their own, unique way, and we’ll keep going back.
