Should the Philadelphia Eagles trade for a wide receiver before the deadline with DeSean Jackson still dealing with an injury?

By now, most Philadelphia Eagles fans assumed that DeSean Jackson would be healthy enough to return since the speedster hasn’t been able to play since opening weekend, yet here he is expected to miss another game.

Even though Jackson continues to do everything in his power to recover from the abdominal injury, both parties are clearly frustrated over the fact that no one seems to know exactly when the Eagles receiver will return.

With that being said, since Philadelphia has been hurting at times during Jackson’s absence when it comes to wide receiver, there’s been some talk over the possibility of the team pulling off a trade before the deadline.

For weeks, the Eagles seemed like a strong candidate to potentially pull off a trade for a cornerback before the deadline at the end of the month, but since Jackson’s timetable to return is still up in the air, adding a new receiver could be in the mix as well.

Obviously, any potential trade for a wideout wouldn’t necessarily mean that Jackson would lose his job, but more so provide Philadelphia with some insurance at the position just to be safe.

The last thing the Eagles want to do is miss out on a golden opportunity to be a strong contender in the NFC due to needing help at wide receiver because of Jackson’s injury.

So in case Philadelphia decides to get in on the trade action before the deadline to help fill the void at receiver until Jackson returns, here are a few players worth targeting.
