3. Saints

Remember all of the doubt surrounding the New Orleans Saints a few weeks ago when Drew Brees went down with a thumb injury, and all hope seemed like it was about to be lost?

For obvious reasons, it’s easy to understand the panic surrounding the Saints when this injury took place since Brees is clearly a future Hall of Famer for a reason, and the argument can be made he’s irreplaceable.

However, this exact scenario is part of the reason New Orleans kept Teddy Bridgewater around, and while his numbers may not be super crazy like when Brees is running the offense, the former Louisville star is still doing just enough to get by.

It was one thing to watch Bridgewater help the Saints pull off an epic win on the road over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, but handing the Cowboys their first loss of 2019 Sunday night took was even more incredible to witness.

All of a sudden, New Orleans is back in the driver’s seat when it comes to being on top of the NFC South, and are making a strong case to be considered one of the top contenders in the conference, especially since they technically have the head-to-head tiebreaker over Dallas.
