1. Cowboys

No Eagles fans should be surprised one bit to see the Dallas Cowboys on the top of this list since they’re not only the biggest threat within the division at the moment, but could very well determine where Philadelphia stands playoff wise in a few months from now.

Despite the Cowboys finishing on top of the division last year, the Eagles were still able to earn one of the Wild Card spots in the NFC.

But if Philadelphia were to be in another position down the road where they were forced to battle for a Wild Card spot if Dallas is sitting on top of the division, there’s no telling what the rest of the competition would look like this time.

Part of the reason why there was so much frustration surrounding the Eagles coming up short to the Falcons the way they did was due to the importance of gaining as many wins as possible from now until the end of December before playoffs begin.

The NFC East is still wide open at the moment, but with the Cowboys having a slight advantage over already earning two division wins compared to just one by the Eagles heading into Week 3, Philadelphia better be ready for that first October meeting.
