The Philadelphia Eagles will see Antonio Brown in Week 11 after the wideout signed with the New England Patriots on Saturday.

No matter how tempting the thought of Antonio Brown joining the Philadelphia Eagles following his release from the Oakland Raiders was, deep down the team will be much better off without the speedy wideout.

Talent wise, Brown is easily one of the best receivers in the league, and watching him lead the league with 15 touchdown catches in 2018 is just one of many reasons to back this claim up.

However, when looking at all of the drama that took place in Oakland leading up to Brown’s release, this alone simply wouldn’t make it worth having the wideout on the roster.

One of the main reasons behind Philadelphia’s success from the previous two seasons is the team chemistry, and the last thing the Eagles need is a head case like Brown coming in to mess this all up.

With that being said, any sort of chance that Brown would end up joining Doug Pederson‘s squad quickly went out the window Saturday afternoon after it was announced that he would be joining the New England Patriots on a one-year deal.

In a way, this news shouldn’t have come as that much of a surprise since every time there seems to be a controversial release, the Patriots always seem to be the ones willing to give them a chance to turn things around.

All of a sudden, New England has one of the league’s best trios at wide receiver since before Brown came on, they already had Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon.

Even more important for the Eagles, that Week 11 matchup in the middle of November against the Patriots just became a lot more interesting since Brown’s presence will force Philadelphia to take a completely different approach.

Since both the Eagles and Patriots were already viewed as two of the top Super Bowl contenders heading into the new season, this was already considered to be one of the most exciting games to look forward to in November.

Now that Brown is officially heading to New England, this contest will most likely be even more difficult for Philadelphia, but also a perfect opportunity to show they are in fact built for a Super Bowl run of their own.

To be the best, the Eagles realize they will need to take down the best, and that now includes Brown as a member of the Patriots.

November’s game certainly isn’t going to be easy, but hopefully with the right game plan, Philadelphia will be in better position on defense to keep Brown in check to help earn the statement win.
