3. Danilo Gallinari

All due respect to the Los Angeles Clippers, this was the last team that any basketball fan expected to emerge as a serious contender in the Western Conference last season, but the future all of a sudden looks bright for Doc Rivers‘ squad.

Even more exciting, the Clippers seem to be a potential landing spot for numerous key players entering free agency this offseason, with Kawhi Leonard‘s name even being thrown into the mix the NBA Finals MVP doesn’t return to the Toronto Raptors.

While Danilo Gallinari was one of the main reasons behind the success of Los Angeles this past season, the team is also smart enough to know that he could be a perfect trade candidate with plenty of teams in need of another scoring forward, including the Sixers.

Butler would obviously be the preference in the starting role, but depending on how things play out in free agency, a potential backup option in Gallinari may not be the worst idea in the world.

After averaging a career high of 19.8 points per game with the Clippers this past season, Gallinari could bring plenty to the table for Philadelphia, although the one concern seems like it would be what the Sixers would need to give up trade wise.
