Unlike the Giants, Washington Redskins did not pass Dwayne Haskins in the first round and now look like geniuses for getting the player they wanted without having to trade up.

And Daniel Snyder is the one who made this pick; what a bizarre world.

As previously stated when talking about Jones, Haskins is among the most prolific single-season quarterbacks in college football history, throwing for 4831 yards and 50 touchdowns in his lone starting season with the Buckeyes.

Coming from ex-Eagles quarterbacks coach Ryan Day‘s prolific offense, Haskins broke pretty much every Big Ten and Ohio State record on the books, elevating himself into a consensus first-round pick in a way that his predecessors like J.T. Barrett, Cardale Jones, and Braxton Miller never could.

If Hoskins really is Urban Meyer‘s final starting quarterback, he’s certainly left a legacy.

Now granted, Hoskins isn’t a perfect prospect, as he ran slower than Eagles’ left tackle Andre Dillard at the combine and has pretty noticeable accuracy issues, but he is the kind of quarterback who could conceivably be starting by Week 8, and finally give Washington a franchise caliber quarterback for the first time since they (unfortunately) traded up to select RG3 back in 2012.
