Philadelphia Eagles: 7-Round 2019 mock draft version 2.0
By Dan Parzych
Round 5, Pick 163: Defensive End Kingsley Keke, Texas A&M
Competing in the NFC East is going to be difficult once again for the Eagles in 2019 since teams like the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins are talented enough to give Philadelphia a run for their money (sorry, New York Giants).
As great as it is to see the Eagles have all those weapons on offense for Wentz to work with, how far this team goes in 2019 could come down to the kind of play they receive on the defensive side of the football.
At the moment, Philadelphia has some of the best players in the league such as Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox, but there’s always room for improvement, no matter what the current situation looks like.
Kingsley Keke is currently projected to fall in the mid rounds of the upcoming draft, and while the fifth round may sound like a stretch, it’s also certainly possible.
Similar to the situation discussed earlier with Williams, if Keke were to fall this far in the draft, it would almost seem like a no brainer for Philadelphia to select the Texas A&M standout to provide an extra boost on the defensive side of the football.
With Keke’s set of skills along with the improvement he showed each season with the Aggies, the defensive end seems like the kind of NFL prospect who will only continue to get better with experience.
