Round 1, Pick 25: Cornerback Greedy Williams, LSU

Rightfully so, Greedy Williams has caught the eye of numerous scouts looking to add talent to the cornerback position, and the chances are high the LSU product will be off the board by the conclusion of the first round.

As for whether Williams will be available at No. 25 for the Eagles, this would almost seem like a no brainer for Philadelphia since passing on the cornerback could result in regret down the road.

Despite how great current cornerbacks of the Eagles have looked from time to time over the years, consistency has been an issue at times as well.

Philadelphia already strongly believes the future is bright with Sidney Jones, and while there’s no guarantee that Williams will be successful in the NFL, the thought of this duo on defense almost seems too good to pass on if given the opportunity.

Watching Williams defend opposing receivers the way he did over the years with the Tigers makes it clear that he’s ready to make the transition to the NFL level, and could very well help the Eagles fill a need at cornerback early on.

Jim Schwartz is always willing to bring on new talent to work with, and the presence of Williams could result in an immediate impact by the rookie in 2019.
