The 2019 schedule was officially released for the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday night.

After all of the rumors and hints over potential games certain weeks, the 2019 schedule was finally released for the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday, and as expected, there’s plenty of great topics to talk about.

From kicking things off at Lincoln Financial Field against the Washington Redskins to ending the year with four games against teams in the NFC East, the Eagles have quite the work cut out for them for the 2019 season.

However, the one factor that stands out the most for Philadelphia is how the team earned five games in primetime spots to show once again they’re expected to be one of the top contenders in the NFC once again for a reason.

Will Philadelphia be able to handle the pressure of playing in the national spotlight twice in three weeks in September?

Playing on Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons was already going to be a difficult challenge, but heading to Lambeau Field less then two weeks later for a meeting with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will be far from easy as well.

Luckily for the Eagles, this team has come up big in plenty of big moments since Doug Pederson took over as head coach in 2016, one of which happens to be their epic Super Bowl 52 victory over the New England Patriots with Nick Foles under center.

Along with this tough early stretch, Philadelphia also has primetime games against two NFC East rivals in the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants along with a late November meeting with the Seattle Seahawks.

There’s a popular saying about in order to be the best, teams have to take down the best, and the Eagles will certainly be tested in a big way throughout the 2019 season to see if they have what it takes to earn a trip to the playoffs for a third year in a row.

And who knows, depending on how things play out once the regular season does officially get underway, maybe Philadelphia will happen to meet one of these teams later on in January when it matters the most during the playoffs, but let’s not jump that far ahead just yet.
