After watching Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler complete the gauntlet, when will Ben Simmons get his turn on First We Feast’s ‘Hot Ones’ with Sean Evans?

Are you a fan of both the Philadelphia 76ers and spicy wings?

Yes? Well, do I have a show for you: ‘Hot Ones’.

For those out of the loop, ‘Hot Ones‘ is ‘The show with hot questions, and even hotter wings.’ on the ‘First We Feast‘ YouTube Channel. The show, hosted by Sean Evans, tasks guests with eating 10 chicken wings of escalating spiciness while being asked questions on everything from Pop Culture to Instagram deep dives.

And the Sixers have been very, very well represented on the show over the last few seasons.

First, it was Joel ‘The Process’ Embiid, the best quote in all of basketball. The Season 4 episode dubbed “Joel Embiid Trusts the Process While Eating Spicy Wings”, was among the best in the series thus far, filled to the brim with hilarity, and even a few tidbits on why he loves The City of Brotherly Love.

Peep it, the show is great.

Now granted, the episode is a bit dated now, as it came out on June 28th of 2018; a week after  Zhaire Smith, Landry Shamet, Shake Milton and (briefly) Mikal Bridges were selected in the NBA Draft, and months before Elton Brand was named the team’s new GM, but still, I’d consider it a must watch.

Want something a little more current? Check out the latest episode of the show (as of the time of this article’s publication), as it featured a player who wasn’t even on the team when Embiid recorded his episode: Jimmy Butler.

Discussing everything from his minivan and his love of country music to his odd-couple friendship with Mark Wahlberg, Butler’s successful trip through the gauntlet should be lauded, even if the title “Jimmy Butler Goes Rocky Balboa on Spicy Wings” feels a bit cliché.

As things presently stand, the 76ers are the only NBA team with two players who’s appeared on the show, but why stop there?  Do you know who hasn’t guested on ‘Hot Ones’ yet, but really should? Ben Simmons.

I mean just think about it, the script practically writes itself: ‘Do you eat hot wings in Australia? What was your favorite food memory as a kid? Do you also like Shirley Temples? What’s Kendall Jenner like?’

Really, I could go on, and on, and, on; highlighting just how potent a conversation could be over some super spicy wings.

Is Simmons a bit of a heat speaker? Who knows, but with two of his teammates having already made appearances on the show, it seems like only a matter of time before Ben Simmons joins Jimmy Butler and Joel Embiid as Philadelphia 76ers alums to appear on First We Feast’s ‘Hot Ones’.
