2. Use a first-round pick on a running back

For weeks, there has been plenty of speculation that Philadelphia would consider the possibility of using a first-round pick on a running back since they would be in position to have numerous options at No. 25, with Alabama’s Josh Jacobs immediately coming to mind.

Plenty can change from now until the start of the draft in April, but based off reactions from most scouts, Jacobs arguably appears to be the top player at his position from this year’s class. And if Jacobs happens to still be available when the Eagles happen to be on the clock that first night, it wouldn’t come as a surprise at all if he was strongly considered with the selection.

The Crimson Tide have seen plenty of great running backs go on to succeed in the NFL over the years, and it seems like only a matter of time before Jacobs finds his name on that list when looking at the early potential he’s already showing.

Even if the argument can be made that Philadelphia should focus on other positions first before addressing running back, Jacobs may be too good to pass on if available, especially if he can make an impact right away as a rookie.
