Nick Foles may already have found next team in Jacksonville Jaguars

A new report claims that Nick Foles could agree to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars as early as Monday night after spending the last two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
No matter where Nick Foles ends up for the 2019 season, the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans will forever be thankful for everything the Super Bowl 52 MVP has done for the team over the years.
Two years ago when Foles signed with the Eagles for his second stint with the team to backup Carson Wentz, no one ever could have imagined that he would play a key role in helping the team bring home their first Super Bowl title. But the quarterback is now forever part of Philadelphia sports history thanks to this amazing accomplishment.
Unfortunately, the Eagles faced a difficult decision this offseason in regards to Foles since as much as they would love to continue having him backing up Wentz, deep down they knew this would be way too expensive.
Plus, in the long run, Philadelphia also knows that Wentz is going to be the better option, but at least by allowing Foles the opportunity to hit free agency means he will have a chance to start elsewhere.
Even before Foles filled in for Wentz towards the end of last season along with the playoffs, the Jacksonville Jaguars were already considered a top potential landing spot for Foles since the team learned the hard way once again in 2018 that Blake Bortles is far from the answer.
In fact, according to Mike Silver, an agreement between Foles and the Jaguars could even happen as soon as Monday night.
Rightfully so, Foles will deserve every penny of whatever contract he ends up signing this offseason, whether it happens to be from Jacksonville or some other team looking to improve at the quarterback position.
Also, one of the main reasons why the Jaguars were viewed as such a strong landing spot for Foles was due to the fact that he would get to reunite with John DeFilippo, who is now the team’s new offensive coordinator.
Jacksonville’s weapons on offense certainly wouldn’t be on the same level as what Foles had to work with in Philadelphia over the last two seasons, but at least this would give the Jaguars someone to build the offense around moving forward.
Time will tell when it comes to seeing where Foles ends up, but as crazy as it sounds to hear about a potential deal being agreed upon by the end of Monday with the Jaguars, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise at all.
