If Antonio Brown ends up joining the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles may have to see the speedy wideout twice a year.

Ever since Antonio Brown met with the Pittsburgh Steelers before determining a trade would seem best for parties, the Philadelphia Eagles were viewed as a potential long shot to land the veteran wideout for the 2019 season.

However, if the Eagles aren’t part of the mix to land Brown, it looks like Doug Pederson‘s squad may have to worry about facing him twice a year if he finds a way to end up on the Washington Redskins.

Despite all of the young talent the Redskins currently have to work with in the passing game, last season made it clear this team needs a real playmaker at receiver if they truly want to compete for the NFC East title.

Does this mean Brown could become part of the solution in Washington? Acquiring Brown certainly won’t be easy since the Steelers understand his value, and numerous teams are expected to make a push in a potential trade, but it looks like the Redskins are part of the ones showing the most interest.

Right away, the one key factor that comes to mind is if the Steelers prefer to send Brown to a team outside the conference, the Redskins would have an advantage over the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans.

While Brown possibly coming to Washington may not seem like that big of a deal since the team still has issues at quarterback with Alex Smith expected to miss all of 2019 with that gruesome leg injury, Philadelphia can’t afford to take a light approach.

Keep in mind how close the Redskins were to finishing on top of the NFC East before slipping in the final few weeks, and the addition of a playmaker like Brown would certainly make things a lot more interesting within the division since any team seems capable of winning at this point.

Brown would certainly be a headache to deal with at times since he’s one of the best in the game for a reason, but at least for the Eagles, the defense already knows what it’s like to handle top receivers since Odell Beckham Jr. has been around all these years.
