5. Ryquell Armstead

First off, how great would it be if Ryquell Armstead ended up staying local by joining the Eagles, similar to how Brian Westbrook did way back in the day when he came out of Villanova?

Of course, the only difference is that Armstead wouldn’t be considered under the radar since the Temple product was already catching attention from teams leading up to the combine, and his stock is certainly on the rise following an impressive outing.

Just how great was Armstead in Indianapolis? Well, the fact that he finished with the second best 40-yard dash time (4.45) for running backs to show he could bring plenty to the table for any team in the NFL expressing interest.

Watching Armstead find the end zone 14 times during his season season with the Owls is just one of many examples behind the level of potential he could play with at the NFL level, although he could certainly benefit from improving his field vision.

Still, every rookie entering the league always has some areas in need of improvement, and it’s safe to assume that sticking around the Philadelphia area would be a dream come true for Armstead since the local fans already love him from his Temple days.
