Here are five running backs for the Philadelphia Eagles to consider following their performances at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Along with all the other teams, the Philadelphia Eagles are currently taking part in the 2019 NFL Combine to get a better idea of which players would be worth the consideration for the upcoming draft at the end of April.

Despite coming off another impressive season in which they reached the Divisional Round of the playoffs before falling to the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles have numerous areas in need of improvement before the 2019 season arrives, which is why this weekend is so important.

During their Super Bowl run from the 2017 season, Philadelphia found a way to contain one of the top ground games in the NFL thanks to a trio of running backs consisting of Jay Ajayi, LeGarrette Blount, and Corey Clement.

Unfortunately, things would end up changing for the Eagles this past season as Ajayi would watch his year cut short from a torn ACL while Clement dealt with a knee injury of his own.

As for Blount, well the veteran running back wasn’t even part of the team after signing with the Detroit Lions last offseason as a free agent.

While Clement will be back in the picture for Philadelphia in 2019, the verdict is still out there over whether Ajayi is worth bringing back since his history of injuries alone has proven to be a reason for concern, which is why the team is expected to consider running back options in the draft.
