Round 6: TCU DE L.J. Collier

Brandon Graham has proven to be a one of a kind leader over the last couple of years, and the argument can be made that without his presence, the Eagles never would have been Super Bowl champions from the 2017 season.

Graham has already indicated he would love to return to Philadelphia since one can only imagine what his career would be like if it weren’t for the Eagles, but also this is another one of those situations in which the money factor could come into play.

Depending on whether Graham would be open to a hometown discount, the star defensive end could end up being too expensive to keep around, which is part of the reason why the position is one of the needs for Philadelphia this offseason.

L.J. Collier clearly isn’t on the same level as Graham since the TCU star isn’t anywhere close to that level of play, especially with his lack of burst.

Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean the Eagles shouldn’t consider Collier since he does make up for it in other areas, such as tackling. Defense is going to continue to be a major strength for Philadelphia heading into 2019, and only time will tell when it comes to seeing if Collier will be part of that picture, but at least it’s an option worth monitoring.
