5. Jason Peters

Even though his penalties can be frustrating from time to time, Jason Peters has been a key member to the offensive line for the Eagles when healthy over the years. And as much as Philadelphia would love to see Peters return for an 11th season with the team, they know Father Time is out of their control.

The fact that Peters turned 37 in January shows why the offensive tackle is weighing his options regarding retirement since he’s battled through numerous tough injuries over the years.

More than ever, the protection surrounding Wentz is going to be extremely important after seeing the injuries he’s been forced to deal with over the last two seasons, so if Peters is no longer in the picture, finding a replacement won’t be easy.

While there’s nothing the Eagles would love more than to see Peters give it another go since he could continue helping the team be a top contender in the NFC, they also understand his reasoning to consider retirement.

Only time will tell when it comes to finding out what Peters will end up doing for 2019, but no matter what, Philadelphia fans will always appreciate the great tackle for all he’s done with the team throughout his career.
