Philadelphia Phillies fans are trying to hold back their excitement over the possibility of Bryce Harper signing with the team on Tuesday.
While most sports fans in the City of Brotherly love continue to deal with the latest rumors surrounding Nick Foles with the Philadelphia Eagles, it looks like the latest rumors surrounding Bryce Harper possibly joining the Philadelphia Phillies are back into play.
For weeks, Phillies fans have been more than patient trying to keep their cool over waiting on a decision in regards to the chances of the star outfielder joining the team to increase their World Series odds for the 2019 season.
Based off all the talk surrounding how great the meeting went between Harper and Philadelphia in Las Vegas earlier in January, this scenario seemed to have a legitimate shot of happening, although there haven’t really been any updates over the last couple of weeks.
However, thanks to some interesting Twitter posts from Monday on a few different accounts, some Phillies fans have been trying to hold back their excitement over the possibility of the news they’ve been waiting for taking place on Tuesday.
Take a look, and it’s easy to understand why excitement in Philadelphia regarding Harper has been heating up once again:

Between the interesting tweets from MLB The Show along with Philadelphia’s World Series odds in 2019 all of a sudden jumping to fourth best in the league out of nowhere, fans in the City of Brotherly Love have jumped to all sorts of conclusions over what Tuesday could have in store.
However, since the Phillies in general have been pretty quiet over any potential updates over the last couple of weeks, the chances of this actually happening on Tuesday seem slim, meaning all of the hype from Monday will most likely lead to disappointment once again.
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean a deal between the two parties won’t happen at some point since the one thing that has been clear all along is Philadelphia seems to have just as good of a shot at signing Harper as the rest of the contenders remaining.
But as far as a big announcement fans are hoping for on Tuesday, chances are there won’t be any action involving Harper, at least for now.
