5. Denver Broncos

Did the Denver Broncos make a mistake going with Case Keenum at quarterback? While it was easy to understand the hype surrounding Keenum after watching the veteran lead the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC Championship a year ago, but this past season continued to show the same issues on offense for the Broncos.

Since Peyton Manning decided to call it a career, Denver has struggled to find a reliable quarterback to build the offense around, and even though it was only one year, it doesn’t seem like Keenum is the answer.

Year after year, the Broncos continue to hold themselves back from becoming a serious contender in the AFC once again since the defense led by Von Miller tends to come through on their end for the most part.

Until Denver addresses their issues at quarterback, it’s only going to continue hold them back from finally putting an end to their playoff drought. Replacing Keenum with someone like Foles sounds crazy, but also one has to wonder just how desperate the Broncos are getting to the point where they would at least consider the possibility.

One year after seeming like the issues at quarterback were figured out, Denver finds themselves in the same boat heading into 2019.
