Philadelphia Eagles: 10 teams that could trade for Nick Foles in 2019
By Dan Parzych
Here are 10 teams that could end up trying to acquire Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles through a trade for the 2019 season.
No matter how hard the Philadelphia Eagles try to escape the hot topic regarding Nick Foles this offseason, and whether he will return to the team for the 2019 season, they simply can’t avoid it.
Without question, Eagles fans will always be beyond thankful for what Foles did last season in helping the organization bring home their first Super Bowl title in franchise history.
Even this season when all hope seemed lost at one point in December following a key loss to the Dallas Cowboys, it was Foles who stepped up in a big way by helping Philadelphia win their final three games to earn a trip to the playoffs before falling in the Divisional Round.
For Foles, the best thing that could have happened to the Super Bowl MVP was shine the way he did over the last month or so since his stock has found a way to hit a whole new level this offseason when it comes to potential teams expressing interest in the Eagles quarterback.
Out of respect, Philadelphia seems like they would be willing to work with Foles to set him up in the best position possible, whether it’s back with the Eagles or another team, when looking at everything he’s done for the team over the last two years.
If it wasn’t for Foles, there’s no way that Philadelphia would have found as much success over the last two seasons, and it will certainly be interesting to see where he ends up for 2019 since more than ever, a trade seems likely when looking at the cost to keep him around.
Some Philadelphia fans may not want to hear that Carson Wentz is still the long-term answer for this team when looking at how successful Foles has been, but it’s the truth, and keeping him on the bench would simply be a waste.
So now that Philadelphia’s offseason has officially started, let’s take a look at some potential trade destinations for Foles in case this is what the Eagles end up deciding to do, even if some of the teams seem like absolute long shots.
