Philadelphia Eagles: 7-Round 2019 mock draft following Divisional Round defeat
By Dan Parzych
With the Philadelphia Eagles officially out of the playoffs, it’s time to take a look at a seven-round mock draft for 2019.
Losing to the New Orleans Saints the way they did in the Divisional Round was a crushing blow for the Philadelphia Eagles when looking at the journey the defending champions had been on over the last month or so.
Back in December when they lost a key game to the Dallas Cowboys in overtime, all hope seemed lost for the Eagles since their remaining schedule was going to be extremely difficult with matchups against the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans.
As Philadelphia fans know, the team pulled the unthinkable with Nick Foles at quarterback by winning each of their final three games, and even pulled off an impressive win on the road during the opening round of the playoffs against the Chicago Bears.
Coming up short to the Saints will give the Eagles plenty to think about over the next couple of months, but on a positive note, at least they should be a top contender in the NFC once again during the 2019 season.
Before that happens, of course, Philadelphia has plenty of time from now until September doing whatever it takes to improve on all sides of the football, especially in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft.
Just like every other team in the NFL, the Eagles will have numerous positions they will be looking to improve on from this year’s draft class, whether it happens to be cornerback or even wide receiver.
Since Philadelphia’s season is officially over, it only seems appropriate to have a little fun by looking into a potential seven-round mock draft following their tough loss to new Orleans in the Divisional Round.
