Here are four talking points the Philadelphia Phillies should consider for their upcoming meeting with Bryce Harper.

As the offseason continues for the Philadelphia Phillies, all of the main focus for the team this weekend will be on the meeting that is finally taking place with outfielder Bryce Harper.

For months, rumors have been swirling over the possibility of Harper joining the Phillies for the 2019 season when seeing how they were one of a few teams who could actually afford to bring him on board.

Of course, that’s been one of the biggest issues for Philadelphia since other teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and obviously the Washington Nationals have been pushing to convince Harper as well.

When looking at what Harper would be able to bring to the table, whether it’s simply his power hitting or defensive skills in the outfield, it’s easy to see why a team like the Phillies has expressed high interest.

After all of the seasons spent going through rebuilding, Philadelphia finally showed signs of life in 2018 when it comes to taking the next step to becoming a legitimate contender again in the National League.

But unfortunately for the Phillies as was shown late in the year, this team still has a few missing pieces to the puzzle before that next step can happen.

Depending on how things go in Las Vegas on Saturday when the two parties meet, only time will tell when it comes to seeing whether Harper ends up being one of those missing pieces for Philadelphia.
