Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton

The Andy Dalton era will most likely live to see another year for the Cincinnati Bengals. Dalton still has two years left on his contract, and he is not due to make an insane amount of money, only $16 million, in 2019.

When healthy, Dalton has had success, making the playoffs in his first four seasons and positioning the Bengals to make the postseason in his fifth. The last three years have been down years for Cincinnati and Dalton has missed time in two of the last four years because of thumb injuries.

Outside of those two injuries, Dalton has played in all 16 games in every other season of his career. The hope is that Dalton can stay healthy and resurrect the Bengals in what is now a very competitive NFC North.

As Dalton and AJ Green both enter their 30s, the Bengals window of opportunity is closing. Dalton will need to put together some type of run in the next two years, or it is likely the Bengals will look to move on from him.

For now, it will be Dalton leading the charge in Cincinnati. The face of the Bengals franchise will have a lot of pressure on him next season as the Bengals will be looking to avoid missing the playoffs for the fourth straight season.
