Predicting each NFL teams starting quarterback on opening day 2019

Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan
The Atlanta Falcons selected Matt Ryan with the third overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. Ryan has delivered consistent play throughout his 11-year career and has only missed two games in his entire career.
Ryan took the Falcons to the NFC Championship in 2012 and had them on the brink of winning the Super Bowl in 2016. Everyone remembers Atlanta being up 28-3 in the third quarter and then what happened after that. If it wasn’t for a historic collapse, then Ryan has a ring.
As a team, the Falcons had a down year, going 7-9. Ryan, on the other hand, put up monster numbers. The Boston College product threw for just under 5,000 yards while tossing 35 touchdowns to just seven interceptions.
Ryan will be 34-years old when the 2019 season kicks off and is under contract through the end of the 2023 season. Atlanta needs to take advantage of Ryan before the window begins to close. He is on the latter half of his career, but Ryan still has the potential to be an elite quarterback.
When 2019 kicks off, Ryan will once again be under center for the Falcons for his 12th NFL season. For right now, Atlanta does not have much to worry about in terms of long-term plans at the quarterback position.
