Predicting each NFL teams starting quarterback on opening day 2019

New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees
If he wins the Super Bowl this year, there is always a possibility that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees could retire. But, Brees has made it clear that he plans to continue playing beyond this year and even longer.
Brees put up MVP like numbers in 2018, and he very well could win his first MVP this season. The only thing that could hold him back from winning the award is Mahomes. The Purdue product has shown no signs of slowing down, even as he approaches 40-years old.
After starting off his career in San Diego, Brees went to New Orleans in 2006 and has missed a grand total of three games, with one of them coming in a meaningless Week 17 game this season. Brees has won one Super Bowl and for sure wants to win another before he retires.
Brees is currently on a two-year, $50 million contract that kicked in this past season. He is set to become a free agent following the 2019 season. Will New Orleans ink Brees to one more contract, or could 2019 be his last season in New Orleans.
There is pretty much little doubt that Brees will be the Saints quarterback when the 2019 season starts and if this season is any indication, he should still be playing at a high level. After 2019 is where there will be plenty of questions regarding Brees’ future.
