Jacksonville Jaguars: Ryan Tannehill

Could Ryan Tannehill be the next quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars? All signs point to the Dolphins moving on from Tannehill this offseason, and he could make a move north from Miami to Jacksonville. The 2012 first round pick likely still has a lot to offer, and a change of scenery could benefit him.

With the Jaguars likely in the market for a new quarterback and Tannehill likely to hit the open market this offseason, this seems like a great match for both teams. A change for both parties could benefit both Tannehill and the Jaguars.

Jacksonville is ready to move on from Blake Bortles after a putrid 2018 season that saw him get benched. After making the AFC Championship game last season, Borltes fell hard back to earth and his time in Jacksonville seems to be over.

There are a lot of routes the Jaguars could take to address the quarterback position moving forward. In the draft, Jacksonville could target a quarterback at the seventh overall pick. Dwayne Haskins from Ohio State and Drew Lock from Missouri are two names to keep an eye on.

In this situation, the Jaguars would sign Tannehill to a deal with the hopes he could be the answer at quarterback. With the 2019 quarterback draft class not overly strong, Tannehill seems like a better option. But, if he struggles, then Jacksonville could look to a very strong 2020 quarterback draft class down the road.
