Predicting each NFL teams starting quarterback on opening day 2019

Tennessee Titans: Marcus Mariota
There may be questions this offseason surrounding Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota about his long-term status with the team. Mariota will be entering his fifth season next year and has made the playoffs once and has struggled with some injury concerns.
This year, Mariota went 7-6 in 13 starts and had the Titans of the cusp of the postseason, but he was forced to miss a win or go home Week 17 game because of a “stinger,” an injury that plagued him in 2018.
Moving forward, odds are that Mariota will be the Titans starting quarterback in 2019, with it being a make or break year for him. Tennessee needs to see him stay healthy and turn in a productive season.
It may not be fair to say Mariota must make the postseason next year to save his job, but it is likely the Titans want to know that he is the guy before they hand a hefty extension to the University of Oregon product.
So for now, Mariota is safe as the starting quarterback for the Titans. 2019 will be a big year for him and the Titans. His long-term status in Nashville is still largely in question, but he can calm some of those doubts with a strong 2019 season for the Titans.
