Prediction

There really is no way the Eagles win this game, right? The last time the Eagles were as heavy underdogs as they will be on Sunday was when they played the Saints. We all know how that ended up. On paper, the Rams are the far more superior team.

The Eagles are without their starting quarterback, even though that didn’t hold them back before, a lot of big pieces on offense, and practically their entire secondary outside of Jenkins. Goff and the Rams offense should have a field day against the depleted Eagles defense on Sunday.

On the other side of the ball, the Rams defense isn’t great, giving up 24.1 points per game, but they still have some playmakers on that side of the ball. The Eagles should be able to run the ball and work off of that. Philadelphia must be perfect on offense to stay in this game.

As said before, the Eagles are going to need a big trick play or fluke play to win this game. If they can’t get a return score, then they may need to dial-up some trickery on offense. It is really the only chance they have.

In reality, though, the Rams offense should move the ball at will on Sunday, and there is nothing to lead us to believe that the Eagles will get out of their own way on offense. Maybe Foles will provide a spark, but this isn’t last season anymore. This is a much different Eagles team.

When it is all set and done, the Rams will have this game put away by the fourth quarter and have the Eagles contemplating whether they want to take a look at Nate Sudfeld over the final two-weeks.
