10. Zach Britton

Zach Britton spent every season since 2011 as a member of the Baltimore Orioles before the team decided to trade him to the New York Yankees last June to provide an extra boost to the bullpen.

When seeing how impressive Britton’s ERA was since the 2016 season, it’s easy to understand why the Yankees were interested in bringing him on board to give them a better chance of competing in October.

Of course, when it comes to what it will cost to bring Britton on board for the 2018 season, there are some concerns since he will not only be 31 by the end of the month, but also will be looking for a hefty contract.

Some teams may be hesitant to give in to Britton’s contract demands, but when seeing how it was only two years ago in which he recorded 47 saves with the Orioles, this could be one of the factors that helps a team decide he’s worth the risk.

Nobody needs to explain some of the struggles behind Philadelphia last season late in games when it came to watching certain bullpen members giving up key runs to ruin outcomes.

Depending on how they make out with other players, it will be interesting to see if the Phillies make a move for Britton or simply focus their attention on others.
