Here are 10 players worth keeping an eye on during the 2018 Winter Meetings in regards to the Philadelphia Phillies.

With Opening Day only a few months away, baseball fans are beyond excited to see the 2018 Winter Meetings finally get underway, especially when it comes to fans of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Believe it or not, the 2019 season has been circled on the calendars of Phillies fans for quite some time when taking into consideration they were expected to have plenty of money to spend, which is exactly the case.

Falling apart in the final two months of last season was beyond frustrating to see when considering that Philadelphia was in great position to make a run for the NL East title or just a playoff spot in general. But when seeing the potential talent this team could end up adding to their team during the Winter Meetings, whether it happens to be through trades or free agency, it will make what took place last fall easier to deal with for the Phillies.

Having the money to spend obviously gives certain teams an advantage over some of their competition. And after seeing Philadelphia already miss out on a few key players they expressed interest in such as Patrick Corbin or Paul Goldschmidt, there’s every reason to believe the Phillies will be even more aggressive over these next couple of days.

Philadelphia already made a big splash last week when they were fortunate to land Jean Segura from the Seattle Mariners to improve their play at shortstop, and hopefully this move was just the beginning for Gabe Kapler‘s squad.
