Philadelphia Eagles fans skyrocketed in the latest Fandom 250 rankings, as this was most likely due to the team finally winning their first Super Bowl title.

After decades filled with heartbreak and frustration, Philadelphia Eagles fans finally experienced the amazing feeling of winning a Super Bowl last season when the was able to pull off an epic run with Nick Foles under center.

All hope seemed lost for the Eagles in the middle of December when Carson Wentz went down with a season-ending knee injury, but Foles and Doug Pederson will forever be cherished in the city for not hitting the panic button while leading the team to their first title.

Philadelphia fans in general always had a reputation for being one of the most passionate bases in the NFL, and to this today, no one should be surprised they’re still celebrating the epic Super Bowl win from last February.

With FanSided releasing their Fandom 250 this week in which they rank the best fan bases in the world, whether it happens to be a sports team or simply entertainment, seeing Eagles fans jump up 96 spots compared to a year ago to land at No. 28 shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Whether it was watching the streets of Brotherly Love quickly fill up after defeating the New England Patriots or simply the party that took place a few days later during the parade, Eagles fans made it clear once again why they’re considered some of the most passionate in the NFL.

Other fan bases across the league may find Eagles fans annoying since they have been known to get a little too intense at times, but also isn’t that part of the reason why they’re so great?

Most teams would love to see this kind of fan base in which the passion is always there win or lose, although some of the losing seasons have been pretty brutal to deal with.

Either way, it’s amazing to see Eagles fans take this much of a leap, and there’s no question winning this year’s Super Bowl most likely played a role in helping them make this much of a leap on the Fandom 250 rankings.
