NFL Power Rankings, Week 14: Eagles look to keep NFC East race interesting
By Dan Parzych
5. Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are the perfect example of how no team should ever give up in a game when seeing how this team was down 23-7 at halftime to the Pittsburgh Steelers before pulling off the 33-30 win. Once again, the Chargers continue to prove they deserve to be in the conversation of being a serious contender in the AFC, and this could be one dangerous team come playoff time.
What made this win even more impressive for Los Angeles is they managed to do so without Melvin Gordon in the lineup as the star running back sat out of this game while dealing with an injury. Thanks to Philip Rivers continuing to be the necessary leader this offense needs along with Keenan Allen looking nearly impossible to defend at times, the Chargers seem to be clicking at the perfect time.
Speaking of Allen, it was amazing to see the Los Angeles wideout haul in 14 catches in the win over Pittsburgh for 148 yards to go along with a trip into the end zone. Many believe the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorite to win the AFC West, but if they’re not careful, the Chargers could make things interesting.
